Welcome and hello, world! This is the first post of a 30 day challenge that I’ve set before myself. The challenge is to write a blog post each day, for 30 days in a row. I’m starting off simple and easy, with just a small demo post. After almost 20 years as a professional in the software industry, I tend to see things in terms of CS. So naming this post “Hello World” is simply appropriate 🙂
What will I write about? I guess that remains to be seen. I’ve worked with technology for so long that it’s hard to remember a time before I was interested in it. From teaching myself basic on my family’s Commodore 64, to learning C programming in the early 90’s, it has been a core element throughout my life. I’ll post on projects that I work on, and also about the state of CS education (which leaves a lot to be desired, IMO). I also love gaming, mostly role playing and strategy games, so I think that will be a good topic as I go forward as well.
So, without anymore fanfare, here I go! Wish me luck 🙂
